How It Works: Technology & Workflow
The PostPro SFX utilizes AMT’s non-destructive chemical vapour process. The system evaporates a dedicated consumable fluid (FA5802) in a tightly controlled, sealed process chamber. The vapour condenses uniformly on the surface of your 3D printed parts, temporarily liquefying the outer polymer layer to smooth out surface peak-and-valley irregularities.
Simple 4-Step Smoothing Workflow:
- Mount Parts: Secure your cleaned 3D printed parts onto the custom PostPro SFX processing rack.
- Load Cartridge: Insert a pre-packaged FA5802 consumable cartridge into the system.
- Run Cycle: Select your material profile on the touchscreen interface and start the cycle. The machine automatically meters, heats, smooths, and evacuates solvent vapour.
- Ready to Use: Retrieve completely smooth, dry, ready-to-use parts directly out of the chamber.
