Magigoo Super Grip is a specially formulated, high-performance build plate adhesive engineered specifically to solve tough first-layer adhesion issues in FDM/FFF 3D printing. Developed for technical filaments and challenging geometries, Super Grip provides an extra layer of holding force to keep parts securely anchored to the build bed throughout long print cycles.

How Does It Work? Technical Highlights & Workflow
Magigoo Super Grip utilizes a heat-activated polymer emulsion that undergoes a reversible physical transition based on bed temperature. When heated past its activation point (typically 50°C+ depending on the material), the adhesive forms strong intermolecular bonds with both the build surface and the hot extruded polymer. Upon cooling, these bonds contract and release their grip automatically.
Application & Printing Workflow
- 1. Surface Preparation: Ensure the print surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, fingerprints, or residual oils.
- 2. Shake & Prime: Shake the applicator bottle thoroughly. Press the spring-loaded nib against the cold build plate to activate the valve and flow the adhesive.
- 3. Spread Evenly: Apply a thin, uniform layer across the active print area using overlapping strokes. A thin coat provides optimal adhesion.
- 4. Print: Set your heated bed to the filament manufacturer's recommended temperature and begin printing. The adhesive layer activates as heat rises.
- 5. Cool & Release: Allow the build plate to cool completely to room temperature before attempting part removal. The print will pop off easily.
- 6. Clean: Wipe down the build plate with a damp paper towel to clean off residual adhesive.
