This internal junction point is located just before the filament exits the AMS unit. The hub's function is to consolidate the PTFE tubes coming from the four individual first-stage feeders, directing the selected filament into a single output tube that leads to the printer's buffer/toolhead. It is a critical component for the proper convergence and routing of multiple filaments within the AMS.
